Financial Specialist

Financial Analysis, Business Valuation, Pension Valuation and Forensic Accounting Services Michael Moss is not your typical financial specialist. Certainly his credentials and more than 25 years experience as a Certified Public Accountant demonstrate a technical ability to represent and serve his clients’ best financial interests throughout their divorce. But unlike most numbers people, he approaches clients holistically, understanding them as emotional, spiritual and physical beings.

Michael is a caring practitioner whose compassion and sensitivity allow both husbands and wives to trust and relate to him. During his own divorce, Michael was appalled by the disregard of couples’ relationships he saw in adversarial divorce. Since 2006, he has practiced as a financial specialist, helping people transition to the next stage of their lives, while allowing them to continue healthy relationships with their former spouses. He has successfully applied his expertise as a CPA and business valuation analyst to create financial settlements for scores of collaborative, cooperative and adversarial divorce cases.

By carefully listening to clients, Michael understands the needs and fears of both divorcing spouses. He empowers clients by educating them about their financial issues, guiding them to make the best property settlement choices based on their assets, income and goals. He maintains a belief that no one should walk away regretting their settlement, simply because they were not informed.

Certified Divorce Financial Analyst

A Certified Divorce Financial Analyst, and Licensed Mental Health Counselor for over 30 years, I created Tangible Solutions in 2007, specializing in financial literacy and personal finances counseling, helping people deal with their financial issues.

Providing a holistic approach towards seeking a fair and equitable financial resolution, we start by focusing on your goals. I prepare customized financial plans, develop personalized cash flow strategies, and guide clients to find successful solutions.

Using my financial and counseling skills, I help you identify your issues, and explore your options and their consequences, guiding you to a resolution that best fits your needs.

I am committed to helping individuals, professionals and couples, who prefer to negotiate rather than litigate, solve their financial situation.

I’ve been active in the local area for almost three decades. I served on the PCC board for 12 years, including two terms as president. Currently I serve as the Treasurer of King County Collaborative Law – the largest collaborative professional association in Washington. I also belong to the Association of Divorce Financial Planners and the Seattle Counselors Association.

Living in unincorporated King County continues to provide me, and my family, with abundant opportunities to enjoy nature, landscaping, hiking and quiet contemplation.
